What is the ChartGeometry Scanner?
The Scanner screens US stocks against a handful of plain-English technical conditions and shows which ones match today. It then lets you rewind: it runs the same conditions as of a past date and shows how those picks did since. It is a research and education tool.
What it is not
It is not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
It does not predict the future. Past performance does not predict future results.
It is not a trading system: no fees, slippage, taxes or dividends are modelled.
How to use it
Pick a strategy. Three examples are built in: Trend following, Sideways / mean reversion, and Breakout.
Read and edit the conditions. Each row is an indicator, a comparison, and a number or another indicator. All rows must be true (AND).
Run scan for today's top 10, ranked by the sort field you choose.
Run historical review to see how the top picks as of 3 months, 6 months or 1 year ago performed since, equal weight.
Download your results or just the strategy, and load a saved strategy back in later.
Good to know
Data is end-of-day and shown with its “as of” date. Stocks listed today only: delisted companies are missing, which flatters history (survivorship bias).
The Regime badge, when shown, is the current reading of the Elko Regime Indicator. It is context, not a signal.
